Latin Smile charity shop is the best! I am a Latino Godmother…

A whole rail of vintage goodies all for me! Latin Smile is an amazing charity shop that has opened quite close to my home. I thought that it deserved a blog entry all of it’s own. Thank you Latin Smile for all of the new stuff you have given me! The post called ‘The Letterman’s jacket’s first day out’ featured an amazing jacket which I found in Latin Smile. Basically they are working towards developing the Latin American culture through music, art, history and traditions across the UK. It is a really interesting place to shop as the people who work there are Argentinian. I have got to know the couple that run the shop quite well now so they tell me about their native country and I practice my (very limited) Spanish skills. The great thing about this particular charity shop is they have a lot of donations from America so you find some really unusual pieces from hand made leather bags to vintage 1970’s dresses. I know that some people are put off charity shop shopping because of the clutter and the iffy smell but this place is tidy and smells of beautiful handmade soaps and incense. Another very great thing they do is label some pieces as ‘name your price’. This helps them to get rid of things quickly and helps me get even more bargains. The whole shopping experience is thoroughly enjoyable and one more great addition to all of this, by shopping in here you are considered a Latino Godmother!
